Ingredients
Waffles
3 tbsp vegetable oil (45 g) 1 large egg (56 g) 1 cup water (240 g) 1¾ cups Kinnikinnick Pancake and Waffle Mix (324 g)

Banana Foster Topping
1 banana - thinly sliced (122 g) 1 tbsp butter (15 g) ¼ cup granulated sugar (25 g) Optional: 1 tbsp spiced rum (10 g)

Directions
Waffles
- Preheat waffle iron to 350°F (176°C). Coat waffle iron lightly with cooking spray or brush with oil.
- In a bowl, mix the egg, oil and water. Slowly add Kinnikinnick Pancake and Waffle Mix. Mix until the batter is smooth.
- Drop batter onto preheated waffle iron.
- Follow waffle iron directions for bake cycle.
- Keep waffles warm in the oven.
Yields 3 Waffles
Banana Foster Toppings
- In a small skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
- Sprinkle melted butter with granulated sugar and place banana slices in a single layer.
- Cook over medium-low heat until sugar caramelizes and bananas begin to brown (approx. 10 minutes).
- Using a fork, carefully flip bananas once and continue cooking until sugar is a light golden brown.
- Carefully pour Banana Foster Topping over prepared waffles.
Tips & Variations
- If using rum in the topping, add at the end of the cooking process.
